From its beginnings, the Santa Barbara Mariachi Festival has emphasized its revenues towards Latinx students in higher education. Regardless of the major, we strongly believe our community will benefit greatly from Latinx students being given access to a college degree. The Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara takes in applications and chooses the scholarship recipients based off our chosen criteria. Once chosen, awarded students and their families are invited to a scholarship reception ceremony, along with our sponsors, who make this event possible. Student scholarship recipients and two guests are also invited to our Mariachi Festival show in August.

We are proud to say that since the inception of the Santa Barbara Mariachi Festival Scholarship Fund, we have awarded $1,000,000 in scholarships towards our youth!
